Facilitating territorial cooperation

To foster a dynamic of cooperation between actors in order to initiate a territorial industrial ecology approach, pool equipment, limit waste and increase common-sense cooperation within its territory.

FAQ

What is the difference between the classic version and the ‘Territory’ version of the Circular Economy Collage ?

In the Territory version, the first part of the workshop, which provides an understanding of the (dys)functioning of the linear economic system, is similar to the classic version. The second part, devoted to the circular economy, is based on the concept of ‘territorial metabolism’ and uses additional cards specific to territorial issues. This spatial interpretation of the circular economy is adapted to the problems faced by the players who shape the regions.

For a team in charge of the economic development of a region, the choice of the classic version of the workshop (value cycle approach) may be more appropriate for outlining the opportunities offered by the circular economy to economic players.

Is the workshop suitable for an intermunicipal organisation ?

Yes, many inter-municipalities of different sizes, from 15,000 inhabitants to more than 250,000 inhabitants, have already taken part in the Circular Economy Collage workshop! The facilitator adapts the framework for reflection to the competences and challenges of the area.

Is the workshop suitable for waste management authorities ?

Yes! Several waste (which we call resources!) management authorities have organised a workshop, and several have also decided to train in-house facilitators to explain the circular economy in their areas. They use the workshop to raise awareness of the levers of the circular economy among different audiences (the general public, schoolchildren, employees).

Is the workshop suitable for elected representatives ?

Absolutely! The ‘Territory’ version of the workshop is the right tool for raising awareness of the circular economy among elected representatives. It enables them to plan actions and identify the right levers for their area. The workshop can also be run in 2 hours if the elected representatives' availability is limited.

Can I be trained to deploy the workshop internally in my organisation ?

Yes, if your intention is to roll out the Circular Economy Collage workshop to your staff, you can train a team of facilitators from within your organisation (local authority, waste management authority). If your target number of participants is less than 50, we recommend that you call on the network of professional facilitators to organise occasional workshops. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

I'm the only person in my organisation who wants to take part. Can I sign up for a workshop ?

Yes, there are inter-professional workshop sessions organised online or in person. You can register by clicking here or join the waiting list for your region. You will be notified when an inter-professional workshop is organised near you.

Does the workshop suggest solutions or courses of action for professionals ?

Yes, the workshop is organised in two parts: the first half provides an understanding of how the linear economy (dys)works, and the second part proposes a definition of the circular economy, using a diagram and concrete examples to discover all the levers for action! The facilitator adapts the examples presented to suit the challenges facing your region. You can read some testimonials from some of the 100+ organisations member of Circular Economy Collage.

How long does the workshop last ?

The workshop lasts 3 hours. The duration is the same whether the workshop takes place online or in person.

Are there shorter formats ?

Circular Economy Collage comes in a number of formats that can be used to condense the content of the standard workshop. The workshop can be completed in 2 hours, but we recommend a 3-hour version to leave room for discussion and the richness of collective intelligence.

We have also developed other formats to meet time constraints : The Circular Challenge and The Circularoulette, a format adapted to large events to raise awareness of the circular economy thanks to a customisable quiz.

Is it possible to obtain a certificate of attendance at a workshop or training course ?

Yes, it is not issued automatically, but you can request it when you register for an inter-professional workshop.
